I am struggling to tip the scale in my favor but so far the kids are winning. Just when I think I'm closing in on "clean house" I turn around and DISASTER. I have two baskets of clean laundry folded waiting to be put away when the kids wake up from their naps and Kailey's room to spring clean...then I think I will finally be caught up.
However, I now hear Cameron in there dialing on his "9-1-1" book. Which means he's crawled out of bed and probably dumped all the books off his shelves. Awesome. Everyday during nap time he sneaks into his closet and pulls out as many cars as possible. Which I wouldn't mind if he would put them back!!
I put a roast in a "bake in bag" thing today. I haven't done one of those in forever but it looks too easy to be for real. If this works we're having this once a week!
MUST remember to take Kailey to dance today. Last week when Rich hurt his back, I was busy taking him to doctors on Monday and completey for got.
....ahh the little turd just wandered out of his room carrying a dinosaur. "I tink tis needs new batteries mom." No Cam I think you need to be taking a nap so that you don't destroy the ballet center while we have to sit for an hour during sister's class. Love him, really I do. He's lucky he's so cute!

First Day of School
Today was K and C's first day of preschool. Kailey was sooo excited. Cam not so much.

Kailey cracked me up. I asked her to stand with her teacher's sign outside the door and she kicked her foot up all ballet style. ha!

Then Kailey went in and was exited to find out where to put her stuff.

And this whole time Cameron is screaming his head off. "ohhhh mommy I don't want to goooo".
So finally we get down to his classroom. His teacher gets out the car mat for his and like magic the tears stop and he's got his sweet sing song voice back and says, "Bye mom, I've got new toys." nice, buddy.

One interesting thing... I did find out Cameron's teacher literally lives across the street from us.
So after I dropped the kids off they had a Parents of Preschoolers meeting. I signed up to be Cameron's room mom since no one volunteered for anything for his class. Kailey's class was full of mom's wanting to volunteer for everything.

Things My Kids Say That Scare Me

1. Uh-oh .. this could mean anything from crayon on the wall to I just dropped a glass globe.
2. Let's Fight... too many pirates in the house is not good
3. Yoohoo Mommy... usually means a poopastrophy in Cam's room
4. Get off my head buddy...
5. Buddy go do this..
6. Mommy sister says come here.
7. The sound of water running.
8. AHHHHHHHHH... this is heard 24/7 pretty much in our house.
9. Come on, let's go... followed by a door slamming. This would mean they are up to no good.
10. Let's make a deal mommy. I am learning to hate this one.

Nap Time Hell
Why oh Why oh Why?! Does naptime have to be such hell? My kids fight it so bad. It takes me an hour or two just to get them to sleep. And by the time they fall asleep my nerves are so shot I'm thinking about drinking.
GAH!
GAH!

Suzy Homemaker I'm Not
Yesterday, I came home from a doctor's appointment where they were talking about wanting to shove a camera down in my stomach and intestines. If that isn't enough to scare the crap out of anyone, I'm not sure what is.Rich had stayed home to work from home so I could go to the doctor and take the van to the shop since it was choking every time we tried to start it. Anyway, I tried to seize the moment and vacuum, sweep and mop the downstairs while Rich was here to entertain the kids. And I was going to just swiffer like normal, but I thought Rich is here I can use the mop, I have that kind of time. I don't know if the mop is sticky or the Lysol Product I used sucked but our floors are sticky. I tried rinsing them and I ended up swiffering them after I mopped. And they still are driving me nuts. Tonight, I'm either going to have to get on my hands and knees with a rag and water and vinegar or something. The floor is driving me nuts and I am hating my mop right now. I need to find some kind of cleaner for the floor that I love, because the Lysol is not it.
This stuff is awesome. After my kids get out of the bath, I slater it on the wall and the bath. It cuts through all the funk and you don't have to even be in the room! Then after they are in bed I go rinse it out. And then I follow up with this handy new device. I swear it makes scrubbing the bath tub 10,000 times easier and faster.
It is Scrubbing Bubbles Action pad. It is the one cleaning product I love.
Now if I can just find something that I love as much to clean my floors.

- 26. It is pretty neurotic that I lay awake at night making lists in my head all the time.
- 27. Sometimes when my kids come up to me and look up at me with their big blue eyes and say something cute, I mentally take a picture (wishing I'd taken a real picture). I wish I could freeze those moments in times.
- 28. I spend so much time worrying that my kids are growing up too fast, that I think I don't just stop and enjoy them now.
- 29. I can't believe my kids have blue eyes. I never thought that would happen.
- 30. I can't believe my kids are both so darn loud.

- 44. That makes me ill.
- 45. We're getting our carpet replaced Friday by Stainmaster.
- 46. My kids spilled jello two places that will not come up, so they are replacing it.
- 47. I'm shocked about that.
- 48. I contemplating dumping my coffee on the stairs just because I can since they are replacing it.
- 49. But then I realize that is stupid.
- 50. And I live with two copy-cats
- 51. I have no idea what I'm going to buy Kailey for her birthday.
- 52. I'm sure she'll love anything but I want to get her something she will be really excited about.
- 53. I'm trying to talk her into taking our queen bed from downstairs and getting new bedding.
- 54. Then giving Cam her bed.
- 55. But then I'm scared to put Cam in a big boy bed.

- 67. I hope they turn out ok, I've never made pants before.
- 68. Unless you count the Bull costumes I made for work. Those had legs.
- 69. I'm ready to start making all the beds.
- 70. I really need to change the sheets on our bed.
- 71. But I know Cameron will try to jump and stand on the sheets while I'm working.
- 72. He kills my back.
- 73. I love that little boy so much.
- 74. I didn't know about having a boy before he was born.
- 75. I guess I was afraid he'd be all rough and boyish.

- 86. Which makes me think we'll need another fridge to store all the food to feed him when he's in high school.
- 87. Cameron called his "Ukey" last night.
- 88. They did rounds of "you want to pay at my house", "you want to come to MY house", "I gots wots of toys.","yeah".
- 89. They are so cute even if they do try to kill each other over a toy ocassionally.
- 90. Cameron is so lucky to have Luke born so close to him.
- 91. It is like his built in BFF.
- 92. I think I need more friends.
- 93. Some how I feel disconnected from all my working mom friends now.
- 94. At birthday parties sometimes I feel really insecure because all the moms talk about work and I have nothing to bring except a story of about Cameron smearing poop somewhere again.
- 95. I think I need to join a mom's group that is closer to my house. Sometimes I feel like all the stay at home moms are on the other side of the city.

- 100. Sometimes I worry, Cameron agrees to her plans so easily. She will get him killed.

Operation: Underpants
Since Luke had a good day with big boy underpants yesterday, we thought we'd give it a go today. Cameorn has on some of his favorite "Woody" unerpants. And so far he's protested sitting on the potty twice. I was thinking since we're having our carpet replaced Friday might as well give this a go today, right?
Oh brother... looks like we'll need to be replacing the couch. Ugh! I sure don't remember it being like this with Kailey. So now I need to add stripping the couch and washing all the covers today. Definitely need to start a pot of coffee.
